Rebecca Ciota is a library and information professional, currently based in the Midwest. Her interests include Collection Development, the Humanities, book history, foreign languages, equines, and science fiction and fantasy.
She has worked in various functions at a wide variety of libraries: circulation in a public library, all aspects in a special library/archives combination, preservation and Special Collections in a small liberal arts college library, acquisitions in a major research library, and systems librarianship in a small liberal arts college library. She also had stints in equine handling, in Corporate Communications, and in education.
She received a Bachelors of the Arts from Oberlin College, and a Masters of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Graduate School of Library and Information Science. She currently works in Grinnell College’s Burling Library as the Discovery and Integrated Services Librarian.
